An outfit guide to 2025 sorority recruitment

Auburn Primary Recruitment officially just opened on May 29, 2025, which means it is time to start planning! Registration closes on July 14 at p.m. CST, so make sure to register before the deadline.

Being in your shoes just a year ago, I understand how recruitment may feel overwhelming. But do not worry! I am here to break down it all for you from important dates, to outfit inspiration, to specific places I shopped, as well as photo collages of ideas, and my best tips to help you feel confident and prepared going into Auburn Sorority Recruitment 2025!

August 7: Kickoff

August 7: Ice Water Tea Canvas Modules close at 11:59 pm

August 8: Ice Water Teas

August 9-11: Philanthropy Round
August 12-14: Sisterhood Round

August 15: Preference Round

August 16: Big Day

Iced Water Teas and Kickoff

Kickoff is when you will meet with your Pi Chi group and all go to Neville Arena, and your start to recruitment will begin!

The Ice Water Tea round is on Zoom with your Pi Chi group, and you watch videos from all 18 sororities.

Outfit inspiration:

  • Free People rompers

  • Athletic dresses

  • Matching sets of cute athleisure

Shoes: Hokas or New Balance for comfort

Philanthropy Round

You are going to wear your Panhellenic t-shirt (Auburn will provide 3 options) styled with your own bottoms: think skirts, skorts, or tailored shorts.

This is your first chance to show off your personality! You will be on your feet for long periods of time to make sure you are comfortable!

Outfit Inspiration:

  • Bottoms from Farm Rio, Altar’d State, Zara, or Poshmark

  • Sneakers from DSW, Nordstrom Rack, and Steve Madden

Jewelry Finds: Statement earrings and layered necklaces can be found at Anthropologie and TJ Maxx for this round to elevate your t-shirt look

Sisterhood Round

Dresses should be appropriate and stylish; think of something you would wear to a nice brunch, church, or lunch with family.

Outfit Inspiration:

  • Dresses from Lulus, Bloomingdale’s, and Nordstrom

  • Wedges or sandals from Jack Rogers and Lulus

Pro Tip: Pack a pair of flip-flops or flats in your rush bag to change into between parties!

Jewelry Tip: For this round, I would go with pretty, soft pieces from Kendra Scott and TJ Maxx- each of these added a polished look but fun flair for your outfits.

Preference Round

This is the more formal round of recruitment.

Many girls from Auburn choose to wear black dresses for this round, but you are NOT required to wear a black dress.

Wear something that makes you feel like your absolute best self! Think of it like a classy wedding guest outfit!

Outfit Inspiration:

  • Dresses from Nordstrom, Hemline, and Anthropologie

  • Dressy heels or wedges from Lulus, Nordstrom, and Zappos

Jewelry Tip: Go with elegant and timeless pieces from Kendra Scott and Anthropologie to complement your dress without overpowering it.

Bid Day

Congrats! You have made it through the week.

On Bid Day, you will run home to your new sorority, change into your jersey, and celebrate with your new sisters!!

Outfit Inspiration:

  • Athletic shorts, a tank, and sneakers

  • Brands I love: Alo, Free People, Aerie, and Hoka

Final Tips!

  • Register Early! Once you have signed up, you can start prepping your outfits and jewelry without the stress of your application

  • Plan your outfits: Moving into college while navigating recruitment can be overwhelming. Prepping everything from shoes to accessories helps to make the week smoother and way less stressful

  • Be true to your style: Do not follow trends just before everyone else does. You’ll feel the most confident and authentic when you wear what makes you feel yourself.

Remember, recruitment is not about being perfect; it is about being yourself. Your Pi Chi will be there to guide you, and every other girl is feeling the same nerves and excitement. Bring your confidence, your personality, and your style into every round. War Eagle, and best of luck with your 2025 recruitment journey.
