And while these practices can genuinely help us feel rested and refreshed, I’ve started to wonder: are we really caring for ourselves, or are we caring for appearances?

Self-Care: The Maintenance of Daily Life
At its core, self-care is about tending to your body and mind. It’s the restorative activities that allow us to function well—getting enough rest, moving our bodies, enjoying a warm meal, or even pausing to breathe deeply in the middle of a hectic day. Self-care is essential. Without it, we run on empty, stretching ourselves thin until there’s nothing left to give.
Soul Care: The Deeper Work
Soul care, however, goes beyond maintenance. It nourishes what cannot be seen—the part of us that seeks meaning, connection, and peace.
